Welcome tweet one

Hello!  I'm still happily playing along with the challenge that's going on over on the Winnie & Walter blog for their Share the Love Week Featuring Felicity with Pinkfresh Studio!  The design team is providing so much fabulous inspiration that I can't help but create!

My  card today was inspired by Laura's adorable birdie card!  I loved the strip of striped paper at the bottom of her card and wanted to duplicate the look.  I used the solid rectangle stamp from Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled, and stamped with various soft shades of PTI ink, overlapping a bit to form even more colors (Sweet Blush, Spring Rain, Lemon Tart and Spring Moss).  I stamped the cute little bird from So Tweet with Evelin T. Designs using Spring Rain ink and fussy cut.  I colored the belly of the bird with some Sweet Blush that I used as a watercolor.  I stamped the sentiment, also from So Tweet, using Spring Moss.  I used the heart die from Essentials: Audrey Cutaways to cut the hearts from the striped paper, then I used those hearts as an embellishment around my sentiment and bird.  I finished the card by adding some twine, and coloring the bird's belly and little hearts with some clear Wink of Stella.  You can't really see that on this photo but it looks so pretty in real life!
