CAS-ual Fridays July Release Day 3

Hello!  So what do you think of the release so far?  We have so many more beautiful stamps and dies to show you, I know you'll love them!  Today we're featuring 2 new stamp sets, Partridge in a Pear Tree and Starlequin.

To make my card I started by stamping one of the patterns from Starlequin to cover my white card base.  Next I used some post it tape to mask off sections of the background and do some ink blending.  The ink colors I used, top to bottom, are PTI Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry, Autumn Rose, and Raspberry Fizz.  I added some water drops (notice they worked on the Berry Sorbet and Autumn Rose but not so well on the other 2 colors?  That's because they're different ink formulations and not all inks work well with that technique). To color the partridge in a pear tree I used PTI Vintage Jadite ink with some water added to it to watercolor the pears, gold watercolor for the leaves, and Gathered Twig distress ink for the trunk.  I stamped the birds body with PTI Berry Sorbet.  I stamped the sentiment on black card stock and embossed with white.  To finish this card I added a few gold sequins.  I love how this turned out.  I got my inspiration for the background colors from Pinterest.  I've been enjoying searching for unique color combos there lately!
