Welcome back to day 2 of the Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti! Today's peeks feature a Fall/Harvest theme with some wonderful new stamp sets and confetti cuts, along with all of the new products that are being added to the Reverse Confetti store this month!
My first card features a gorgeous new floral set, Blooms 'N Buds!
This stamp set is so versatile! The solid images lend themselves beautifully to an emboss resist technique, which is what I did here. I stamped the various flowers and leaves using VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Next I used several shades of Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Barn Door), and my ink blending tool to blend the inks over the embossed images. I used some water drops and ink splatters next, and then I used a baby wipe and carefully removed the ink that remained on top of the embossed images. I cut the bottom edge of the floral panel using the scallop edge from Edgers Confetti Cuts.
The word "thankful" was die cut using the new Grateful, Thankful, Blessed Confetti Cuts. This is a gorgeous, intricate die that can be used as a whole (see the image at the end of this post), or in parts, as I did here, trimming out the word "thankful". It's really very easy to cut the words apart which makes this die super versatile! The words "for you" are from a sentiment in Because Of The Brave. I selectively inked up just those 2 words and stamped them in black. I finished my card with some of the Charcoal Bakers Twine that's being added to the store this month.
My next card uses several new products, including an adorable acorn sentiment set called Happy Harvest!
I started this card by adding a piece of patterned paper from the Fright Night 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack to a Cloud White Cardstock card base. Next I cut several layers of the new Leaves Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die from Lime Green Cardstock and glued them together to add some nice dimension to my card. Next I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock and Cloud White Cardstock using the Circle Band Confetti Cuts, staggering them on my card so just the edge of white showed. I cut another piece of Kraft cardstock using the large scallop die from Circles 'N Scallops Confetti Cuts, and added a basic white circle on top of that.
The acorn from Happy Harvest was stamped using some light brown ink, and dark brown ink for the cap. I ADORE the sentiments in this new stamp set, they're perfect for Fall and for showing your thankfulness! Next I die cut the acorn using Happy Harvest Confetti Cuts. I tied a little piece of twine around the top of the acorn and added some sequins to my card to finish it.
I hope you loved everything we showed you today!
