For my card today I'm using the Happy Harvest stamp set from Reverse Confetti! I love all of the sentiments on these acorns, so I decided to use them all on one card!
One of the things I love most about card making is the creative license we have to do what inspires us. I love rainbows, and even though acorns don't come in rainbow colors in nature I can create them any way I desire on my cards :) I used a rainbow of ink colors, including 3 of the new ink colors by Reverse Confetti (Grape Soda, Tangerine, and Lime Green). For the polka dot side panel I used the Lotsa Dots Stencil from Reverse Confetti. I placed the stencil on some brown cardstock and smooshed my VersaMark ink pad down on it, then I removed the stencil and added white embossing powder and heat embossed. I popped the acorn panel up on some foam dimensional tape and added it to my card base. I added some orange string for a finishing touch. My card might be a little unconventional, but I think it's FUN!

ReplyDeleteWay to go in stylizing your acorns in your own fashion, Diane! Love your scatter of autumn-palette rainbow acorns! Love acorns; they remind me of my dad (passed away 1 1/2 years ago) who planted an oak tree in our yard from a wee sprouting acorn. Over the years, it's grown tall and sturdy...just like my dad was. Your card touches a special place in my heart!
