Hello, dear readers! It's Monday and you know what that means, a new challenge is up over at The Challenge! This time we have a beautiful autumn color palette for you to try.
I decided to use my much coveted Starbucks cup for my card. In case you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, folks have been taking the fall Starbucks cups (when they can get them, seems they're not available in all locations), and cleaning, cutting, and flattening them and making cards with them! Fun, no?! As you can see I made a shaker card with mine. I colored the cup images with Copic markers. The sentiment and the die I used to cut the curved panels on my card are from PTI. I'm very pleased with how this turned out :)
How about you, have you made a card with a Starbucks cup yet? If so let me know in the comments, I'd love to visit your blog and take a look. I've seen lots of these cards on Instagram and it's really fun seeing the various ways people are using their cups. I hope you'll play along with us at The Challenge this week, perhaps even using a Starbucks cup!
Super card, just lovely! Went to SB and ordered a small coffee but didn't get the pretty cup! Boo! Will have to go back another day...
ReplyDeleteOh, this is gorgeous and so fun!
ReplyDeleteSince I got the cups on the first day they were out, I've not been able to track any down since :( It's like the whole of New York is playing the Daily Marker 30 day challenge!! Anyway, LOVE what you did here. I think even more than Kathy R's (Shhhhhh!)

ReplyDeleteHey Diane! I hadn't seen all the Starbucks art yet, so thanks for introducing me to this new trend. Love the curves you made to make it all even more interesting. AND, I had to stop by to leave a comment on your tree-turned-eyeball card on instagram ... I. LOVE. IT. LOVE, love, LOVE it! That is truly the spirit of the partial stamping challenge, and you certainly created something unexpected from a bare tree. I was so excited when I saw it last week, but I couldn't share my excitement with you since I'm not on instagram. SO GLAD you joined the partial stamping challenge at w&w (can't you tell, hahaha!)
