ReplyDeleteAs with your first three performances, your last was spectacular. Isn't is wonderful that necessity is the the mother of invention. If it weren't we'd never have all these gorgeous, trendy and fun cards you make. You certainly know how to go about creating unique projects. You were a wonderful Leading Lady.

Your cards have been tremendously inspiring and I look forward to following and seeing more on a regular basis! ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I love your ink blending and that reverse order water Coloring and then stamping is a great idea to keep the coloring loose and painterly! Love them all!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your post over on the Winnie & Walter blog. I had just recently discovered them and subscribed to their blog. After what you said about coloring not being easy for you and that you find other ways to add color to your cards, I have also subscribed to your blog as well. I am visually impaired and coloring the small images for cards is a real struggle for me so I fine myself losing interest in making cards at all even though I love a lot of the techniques and the stamping and die cutting, etc. I look forward to seeing more of your work and seeing how you get around "coloring" since it is such a big deal to most card makers.

ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely, Diane, but the highlight for me is your ingenuity in finding ways to add colour in diverse ways to 'overcome' your challenges with your shaky hands. The results are beautiful and especially inspiring for those of us who have our own "afflictions" (water-colouring is my nemesis at the moment and Copics...well, the handful I have just don't 'work' with one another in a 'friendly' fashion *grin*). This post 'speaks' to me, because you're creating from a place of deep creativity! As they say, "Necessity is the mother of invention'...and you've 'invented' brilliantly, today, and throughout your time with W&W! I'll be viewing your cards with 'fresh eyes,' knowing that some extra challenges may have been overcome to add to their impact! I'm WOWed...as you can tell...with your creativity!

I was really surprised to hear about the tremors that you experience because I was just thinking the other day about how hard it would be to make cards if I had issues with my hands.
