Stamplorations Challenge

I'm entering this card in the Stamplorations Inspiration Project Post #12 and the Stamplorations Anything Goes challenge.  I had bought my first Stamplorations stamp sets last summer but this is the first time I'm actually using them.  I really like the artistic style of their stamps and I'm happy to finally be trying them out!

My card is inspired by Shery Russ's beautiful "live life out loud" card.  I used the Trendy Feather stamp set, along with a sentiment and distressed stripe from PTI.  I used 3 colors of distress ink to create my background on watercolor paper, Peacock Feather, Mowed Lawn, and Tumbled Glass, using the acetate smooshing method.  I drew the lines and made the dots with a fine tip black pen.  This card is "almost" one layer, although I did attach the water color paper to a black card base.

I'm hoping to add a few more Stamplorations sets to my collection soon :)

  7. SO glad you broke out that feather stamp set - this is so lovely. The colors of your BG blended wonderfully and the addition of the lines really makes the feathers seem to be floating. Glad you joined us at STAMPlorations CASE Playground.
