RC Turns 3: Day 1

Hello, friends!  I'm so glad you stopped by today because there's a big ole' party starting on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you don't want to miss it!  We're celebrating Reverse Confetti's 3rd birthday and we've got some fabulous new stamps and dies to show you over the next few days!

What better way to start the party than with an adorable new critter set!

This new stamp set is called LIFT ME UP.  Aren't the giraffes adorable?!  For this card I decided to use lots of color in the background and keep the images black and white.  As much as I enjoy coloring, there are times when you need something that comes together very quickly and this technique allows for that.  I started my card by stamping the sentiment from LIFT ME UP on the banner paper from this month's PARTY TIME Quick Card Panels.  I placed the sentiment on my Misti, curving it to follow the curved line of the banner.  I stamped the 2 giraffes, cupcakes, and 2 birds, and cut them all with the LIFT ME UP Confetti Cuts.  I added foam mounting tape to the back of the die cut images and placed them on the card.  For the pink paper in the background I used Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts to die cut the dot border around the edge.  I love the extra detail this adds to the card.  I finished the card by adding some yellow and white baker's twine and a few clear sequins.  I just love how this turned out!

There are some fabulous prizes this month, 3 lucky commenters will win a $30.00 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store, so you'll want to be sure to leave a comment on all of the design team blogs and on the Reverse Confetti Blog!  There's also a 30.00 prize up for grabs on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page so be sure to visit there too.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop back tomorrow as the party continues!

  15. Clever idea to leave the main images b/w. Although, it may be irresistible to the recipient to color them in. :)

  21. The quick-card papers are so fantastic, and I love that you kept the integrity of the stamp staying in white with just the outlines... I think that not only adds interest to the card, but it makes those colors on the paper jump out even more!

  22. I love your decision to let the Quick Card Panel be the color point along with the mat and the card base. I agree with L. Webb ~ the colors pop and the stamp set doesn't get lost in the design. Great job.
