Sparkle and Shine Challege #29

Welcome, friends!  It's May 1st which means it's time for a new challenge at Sparkle and Shine!  Our sponsor this time is Create a Smile Stamps.  The winner of the challenge will receive a $25.00 gift card to their online store!

Isn't this a beautiful picture?!  I decided to use my new Rose Garden stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti to make my card.

I don't have a large jar or vase stamp so I decided to use my background to replicate the idea of the jar filled with water on the inspiration photo.  I used my ink blending tool and 3 distress inks, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Tumbled glass, to create the background.  I splattered some water and Peacock Feather ink mixed with water onto the background to add more interest.  I also used ink blending to color 2 of the roses, one with Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry distress inks, and the other with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and PTI Harvest Gold ink.  I left the 3rd rose white.  I cut the roses using Rose Garden Confetti Cuts.  I also cut the green leaves (PTI Simply Chartreuse card stock) with the confetti cuts, as well as the fern like leaves (PTI Aqua Mist card stock).  There are stamps for the leaves but I decided to leave them plain and just use the dies because I wanted to keep all the focus on the flowers.  I placed a 4" doily underneath my floral arrangement and a strip of wood patterned paper on the left (see the wood in the inspiration photo?)  The sentiment is from Rose Garden, I stamped it in black and fussy cut.  I finished my card with a few clear drops, also adding to the look of water.

I hope you're inspired by my card and will play along with us at Sparkle and Shine!  Also, please be sure to visit the Sparkle and Shine blog to see what the rest of the design team has created!
