Countdown to Confetti : Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of the Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti!  Today's peeks feature a Fall/Harvest theme with some wonderful new stamp sets and confetti cuts, along with all of the new products that are being added to the Reverse Confetti store this month!

My first card features a gorgeous new floral set, Blooms 'N Buds!

This stamp set is so versatile!  The solid images lend themselves beautifully to an emboss resist technique, which is what I did here.  I stamped the various flowers and leaves using VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  Next I used several shades of Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Barn Door), and my ink blending tool to blend the inks over the embossed images.  I used some water drops and ink splatters next, and then I used a baby wipe and carefully removed the ink that remained on top of the embossed images.  I cut the bottom edge of the floral panel using the scallop edge from Edgers Confetti Cuts.

The word "thankful" was die cut using the new Grateful, Thankful, Blessed Confetti Cuts.  This is a gorgeous, intricate die that can be used as a whole (see the image at the end of this post), or in parts, as I did here, trimming out the word "thankful".  It's really very easy to cut the words apart which makes this die super versatile!  The words "for you" are from a sentiment in Because Of The Brave.  I selectively inked up just those 2 words and stamped them in black.  I finished my card with some of the Charcoal Bakers Twine that's being added to the store this month.

My next card uses several new products, including an adorable acorn sentiment set called Happy Harvest!

I started this card by adding a piece of patterned paper from the Fright Night 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack to a Cloud White Cardstock card base.  Next I cut several layers of the new Leaves Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die from Lime Green Cardstock and glued them together to add some nice dimension to my card.  Next I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock and Cloud White Cardstock using the Circle Band Confetti Cuts, staggering them on my card so just the edge of white showed.  I cut another piece of Kraft cardstock using the large scallop die from Circles 'N Scallops Confetti Cuts, and added a basic white circle on top of that.

The acorn from Happy Harvest was stamped using some light brown ink, and dark brown ink for the cap.  I ADORE the sentiments in this new stamp set, they're perfect for Fall and for showing your thankfulness!  Next I die cut the acorn using Happy Harvest Confetti Cuts.  I tied a little piece of twine around the top of the acorn and added some sequins to my card to finish it.

I hope you loved everything we showed you today!  Be sure to leave a comment on all of the design team blogs and on the Reverse Confetti Blog for a chance to win a 15.00 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  There's also a 15.00 prize up for grabs on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page so be sure to visit there too.

Countdown to Confetti : Day 1

Welcome!  It's that time of the month, time for Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti!  This is an extra special release because Reverse Confetti is introducing 4 brand new product lines to their store!  That's right, Reverse Confetti will now carry their own line of cardstock, dye ink, 6x6 patterned paper pads, and stencils!  Isn't that exciting?  I know that you're going to LOVE these new products as much as I do, the quality is top notch!  Let's get started, shall we?

Today we're introducing 2 new stamp sets and 2 new Confetti Cuts.  My first card uses an adorable new Dawn Machell stamp set, Best Witches, and Best Witches Confetti Cuts, along with other new items which I'll tell you about below.

Aren't these little Halloween cuties just the sweetest?!!  To make my card I started by die cutting some frames using patterned paper from Fright Night, the 6x6 paper pad being released this month.  I cut the green polka dot frame using the wavy stitched border from All Framed Up Confetti Cuts, and the black polka dot frame was cut with the new Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts which are being released this month.  I added the frames to a piece of the new Tangerine Cardstock.

I stamped the images from Best Witches, colored them using Copic markers, and cut them out with Best Witches Confetti Cuts.  I popped them up with some foam dimensional tape.  I stamped the sentiment on Tangerine Cardstock and used dies from Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts to make the little stitch line and pinked edge.  To finish this card I added some Black & White Twine.

My next 2 cards use the new Treat Yo' Self sentiment set along with the coordinating Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts.  I have to admit I could not stop playing with these stamps and dies!  In addition to the 2 cards I have to share with you today I'll have another one to share for our blog hop on Thursday :)

I started this card with a Grape Soda Cardstock base.  I trimmed a piece of the bat paper from the Fright Night 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad and placed it on some black cardstock.  I cut the tag from White Cloud Cardstock using the new Web Tag Layer Confetti Cuts.  LOVE this tag, so fun for Halloween!  I cut 2 bats from black cardstock using Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts, and coated them with glossy accents.  I used the new Lotsa Dots Stencil for the background of my sentiment.  I simply cut a piece of Tangerine Cardstock and used Tangerine Die Ink and an ink blending tool to add the dots.  It's subtle but adds a bit extra to the sentiment.  The sentiment from Treat Yo' Self was stamped with black ink.  I tied a bit of black twine on my card to finish it.  Here's a close up of the shiny bats:

This next card starts with a black cardstock base to which I added a piece of patterned paper from the Fright Night 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad which I cut using the new Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts.  Next I used a smaller die from Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts and cut a piece of Tangerine Cardstock.  I used the pumpkin face die from Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts and cut it out 3 times from my tangerine piece.  I stamped the sentiment, "BOO!", from Treat Yo' Self, and placed the tangerine panel on a piece of black cardstock to better show off the spooky pumpkin faces.

I added a few sequins and some of the Black & White Twine to finish my card.

What a first day, right?  Just wait to see what else we have in store for you over the next few days ;)  Be sure to leave a comment on all of the design team blogs and on the Reverse Confetti Blog for a chance to win a 15.00 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  There's also a 15.00 prize up for grabs on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page so be sure to visit there too.

I Woof You

Howdy!  I made a card that I'm entering in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #252, using some adorable "new to me" Reverse Confetti products!

I've been wanting the cute Puppy Love stamp set from Reverse Confetti for quite some time now and I was finally able to pick it, along with the matching Puppy Love Confetti Cuts!

This was such an easy card to make!  I started by cutting a piece of patterned paper from my stash with the smaller scallop side of the Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts.  To add a bit more detail I cut the row of small circles below the scallop with a die from Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.  I stamped the dog and dog bowl images from Puppy Love and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor markers and die cut them with Puppy Love Confetti Cuts.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment, and added some red hearts around the dog.  Being a dog lover this stamp set really tickles me  :)

Life is better in FLIP FLOPS!

Hello there!  It's Friday, and I have the next few days all to myself.  My son is off for a weekend with his friends, and my daughter and hubby are attending an anime convention.  So the dog and I are just hangin :)  I made a card for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #52 "Cut It Out" using the current sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

This sketch really had me scratching my head!  I was fascinated looking at the DT samples to see their interpretations.  When I saw that the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge was about using their exclusive die cuts, I decided to make a summer card using the Summer Greetings die cuts.

I stamped the flip flops from Flip Flop Season in black ink, then "colored" them by adding distress ink to the solid, reverse side of the stamps, spraying with a mist of water, and stamping.  I used Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, and Spiced Marmalade.  I cut the panel using the SSS Postage Edge Frames dies and mounted it onto some Kraft card stock.  I cut the "flip-flop" die from Kraft card stock and popped it up on my card with some tiny pieces of foam tape.  The words "life's better in" is from the SSS Happy Block Greetings stamp set.  I added some splatters, sequins, and twine to my card to finish it.

We're back in the thick of summer here again in PA enjoying some hot and soupy weather (NOT!)  Still dreaming of those crisp, cool, fall days...

Wishing you a fin-tastic day!

Hello there!  It's been awhile since I've posted a card so I'm extra happy to be able to share one with you today!  I have a last minute entry for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge using the adorable Reverse Confetti stamp set, Mermaid Kisses!

To make my card I started by dry embossing the Sunburst Cover Panel Confetti Cuts onto a sheet of white card stock.  I then cut a reverse mask of the cover panel to place over the card stock and used my ink blending tool and some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to color the rays and center circle.  I used Doin' The Wave Confetti Cuts to cut the slanted wavy border for the bottom of my card.  I colored that piece with Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and my ink blending tool, adding some water and ink splatters after coloring.  I popped the panel onto my card base with some foam dimensional tape.

I stamped the mermaid and fish from Mermaid Kisses and colored them using Zig Clean Color watercolor markers.  I cut them out with the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts.  I stamped the sentiment from Mermaid Kisses using black ink in the center of the sunburst.

I want to get a few more summer cards finished before I'm totally in the fall/winter crafting mood.  It's been cooler here in PA this past week (80's and not humid as opposed to 90's and humid, if you can consider that cooler!)  Although I love all the seasons, I'm definitely ready for some cool, crisp fall air to arrive!

Have a good one and thanks for stopping by!
