CAS-ual Fridays July Release Day 2
Hello and welcome back to day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays July Release! Today we're featuring the Christmas Sparkle stamp set and Tag Ornament Fri-Dies! I absolutely LOVE this stamp set and the coordinating dies and I know you will too!
To make my card I used both the larger circle in the die set and the smaller circle. I cut each one from a piece of vellum, being sure to leave plenty of space around the perimeter of the circle so that I could do some ink blending with getting ink in unwanted places. The distress ink colors I used are Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn, Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean. To get this look simply place your piece of vellum on some card stock and start your ink blending from the outside of the circle working inwards, leaving a little bit of white space in the center. You can arrange your circles any way you like, in this case I had them overlap, and I used an odd number of circles (5), which is always more pleasing to the eye. For the red ornament I stamped and embossed the sentiment and ring of circles from Christmas Sparkle using gold embossing powder. For the green and blue ornament I used another new stamp set that will be introduced on Thursday to decorate them with the gold embossing (be sure to stop back then to see the entire stamp set!) I cut the ornament topper for the red ornament from gold card stock, and place the trimmed panel on a gold card stock base. I finished my card with a few gold sequins. I really love how this turned out and it was quite easy to make!
Be sure to visit the CAS-ual Friday blog and leave a comment, there will be a $15.00 gift certificate to the CAS-ual Friday store awarded to 3 commenters! Hope to see you back here tomorrow, I'll have more wonderful cards to share!
