Countdown to Confetti: Day 1

Hello there!  Today is a very special day, not only is it time to start peeking the April REVERSE CONFETTI release, it's my first post as a member of the Confetti Crew!  I've been having a blast creating with everything and can't wait to share it all with you!

For my first card I used the new stamp set ALL APPLES and ALL APPLES Confetti Cuts.  This is such a great set for making teacher cards!

I started my card by stamping a piece of white card stock with the alphabet apple using lime green ink.  Next I stamped the red apple, leaves, and stem, and die cut them.  Notice the stitched border around 3 sides of the white panel, that was made with the new EDGE ESSENTIALS Confetti Cuts.  I love being able to put stitch lines wherever I want them!  I placed the white panel on a lime green card base and added the red apple, popping it up with foam tape.  I tied some twine around the top of my card and clipped a gold star to it which I cut using OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts.   I love the idea of giving the teacher a "gold star" :)

My next card uses the new BITTY BANNERS, BITTY BANNERS Confetti Cuts, and DOUBLE PANEL CIRCLES Confetti Cuts.  I love that this new stamp set has banners for so many different occasions!

I stamped the word "smile" from BITTY BANNERS using blue, green and purple inks and die cut them.  I placed them on the scallop circle which I cut using CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts.  I placed the DOUBLE PANELS CIRCLE Confetti Cut, which I cut from white and green card stock, behind the scallop circle.  I wanted just a bit of detail and color peeking out the sides.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite Reverse Confetti sentiment sets, YOU MAKE ME SMILE.  These sentiments work perfectly with the "smile" BITTY BANNERS stamp!  To finish my card I added a few sequins to match the colors of the "smiles" :)

Be sure to leave a comment on all of the design team blogs and on the Reverse Confetti Blog for a chance to win a 15.00 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  There's also a 15.00 prize up for grabs on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page so be sure to visit there too.

Hope you'll stop back tomorrow, I have more projects using the new products to show you!
