Sparkle and Shine Challenge #28

Hello there!  It's the 15th and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sparkle and Shine!  Our sponsor is Right at Home and the winner of this challenge will receive a $15.00 gift card to their online store!

Do you love the shades of purple in this inspiration photo?  Seems like most people have fairly strong opinions about purple, they either love it or hate it lol!  I for one love it, and had a lot of fun making my card.

I started my card by stamping the dots (from Stampin Up) at the top of a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and embossing in white.  Next I used my ink blending tool and distress inks (Dusty Concord and Wilted Violet) to add color to my background.  I added some water drops and paint splatters to the background piece, and then stamped my sentiment which is from Mondo Hydrangea from Essentials by Ellen.  Next I stamped and white embossed the Mondo Hydrangea on a separate piece of watercolor paper and used Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet distress inks to watercolor it.  I die cut the hydrangea and placed it on my card, popping it up on foam tape.  The tiny scallop edge was cut with the new Edge Essentials die from Reverse Confetti.  I placed the piece on a white card base, and finished the card by adding some pearl paint to the center of the hydrangea petals.

I hope our inspiration photo inspires you to create a card, I can't wait to see what you make!  Please stop by the Sparkle and Shine Challenge blog to see what all of the design team members have created!
