Winnie & Walter Feature Presentation!

Hello, everyone!!  I'm so excited to be here today joining Winnie & Walter as they showcase their new dies!   They've released 6 new die sets that match 6 of their preexisting stamp sets, and I'm here to tell you, these dies make creating cards with your Winnie & Walter stamps even more fun!  Today I'll be using 2 of the new die sets, IN BLOOM: LOLA'S BOUQUET WITH JONI ANDAYA CUTAWAYS, and THE BIG, THE BOLD & FUN CUTAWAYS.

Because of the new dies that go with In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya,  I was able to do one of my favorite techniques on this card, adding die cuts in the same color as the card base.  This adds a wonderful extra dimension to your background, and almost looks like dry embossing.  And of course with all of the coordinating flower and leaf dies in this set, you can build floral arrangements to your heart's content!

To make this card I first cut a bunch of the 3 different styles of vases from white card stock and glued them down to a white card base in an artful arrangement.  Next I stamped some of the flowers from the stamp set using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink, Wplus 9 Pumpkin Spice Ink, and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  For the leaves I used PTI Aqua Mist Ink and Wplus9 Ocean Drive Ink.  I cut a vase from PTI Enchanted Evening card stock and covered it with Glossy Accents.  I love that it shines like a real vase would!  I arranged the vase and flowers and leaves on my card, popping up some of the flowers and leaves with foam dimensional tape.  I cut the word "hello" from The Big, the Bold and the Happy Cutaways twice, once from white card stock and once from white card stock that I colored (direct to paper) with the Aqua Mist ink pad.  I stacked them together, slightly offset.  I also cut several hearts from the same Aqua Mist colored paper.  Those are from Essentials: Audrey Cutaways.  I covered the hearts with some Glossy Accents.  I added a little bit of clear glitter glue to the centers of the flowers, and a strip of wood grain paper across the bottom to ground the vase.

For this next card I used the new The Big, the Bold and Fun Cutaways, along with several other stamp and die sets.

To make this card I first stamped flowers from In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya, and In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers on white card stock.  I really love the color combination I used here, PTI Harvest Gold, Wplus9 Pumpkin Spice, and Fossilized Amber Distress Ink.  It's so bright and sunny, isn't it?!  I also stamped and embossed the flower centers with gold embossing powder to add even more shine.  Next I die cut the words "you" (from The Big, the Bold and You Cutaways) and "shine" (from The Big, the Bold and Fun Cutaways) from the floral stamped paper and popped it up on some  PTI Terracotta Tile card stock.  The words "my" and "friend" are from The Big, the Bold and You.  I stamped them on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder and trimmed them.  I added a strip of gold glitter tape and a thin strip of black card stock to the side of the card.

I hope I've given you some fun ideas for using the new dies from Winnie & Walter!  Be sure to visit the Winnie & Walter blog to see what wonderful creations the design team's made!
